Job Description:

TORQUE Motorsports is looking for an Experienced Small Engine Technician to join our team. The Experienced Small Engine Technician is a critical link between customers and the service department, ensuring a seamless service experience. Reporting directly to the Service Advisor, this role is essential for maintaining efficient workflow, troubleshooting, and providing expert repairs. Your ability to manage customer interactions, coordinate with service technicians and parts advisors, and uphold accurate documentation is key to sustaining high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Do:

Perform diagnostics and repairs on a variety of BRP vehicles and motorsport equipment.

Conduct routine maintenance,

Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians as needed.

Communicate clearly with the Service Advisor and customers regarding the status of vehicles and necessary repairs.

Ensure that all work meets TORQUE’s safety standards and complies with BRP regulations.

Maintain a clean and organized workstation and adhere to all safety protocols.

Keep accurate records of services performed and parts used.

Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and repair techniques in the automotive and motorsports industry.

Complete required training and certifications to stay in good standing with BRP and meet industry standards.

What You Need:

Education: Post-Secondary certification in small engine repair.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in motorsport repair on equipment such as ATVs, snowmobiles, and side-by-sides.

Experience working in a dealership environment is considered a strong asset.

Experience with BRP products is considered a strong asset.

Additional Strengths:

Hands-on experience with performance tuning, engine rebuilds, and working with both two-stroke and four-stroke engines is considered a strong asset.

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Strong ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
